Microsoft has released its June 2016 Patch which provides 16 update bulletins with five vulnerabilities rated as critical. The patch covers 44 vulnerabilities and the most critical ones include MS16-063, MS16-068, MS16-069, MS16-070 and MS16-071 bulletins. These critical vulnerabilities if left unpatched could lead to the execution of remote code. Affected applications are: Windows, Internet Explorer, Edge and Office and Office services and web apps. The most critical vulnerability is addressed in MS16-070, which resolves a number of issues in Microsoft Office. The vulnerability exists in Microsoft Word RTF format which allows Remote Code Execution. The attack can be triggered with a simple email without requiring user interaction.
Users are advised to watch out for these vulnerabilities and apply updates accordingly.
