In line with the Government’s vision to make Mauritius secure and resilient, the Computer Emergency Response Team of Mauritius (CERT-MU) collaborated with AfricaCERT and African Union Commission to organise the FIRST Virtual Technical Symposium on Friday 23rd October 2020. The objective of the event was to
enhance the communication and incident response capabilities and improve the overall Cybersecurity preparedness of the CIRT/CSIRT teams of the participating countries. As part of this event there were 3 technical trainings organised on the 21st and 22nd of October 2020.
Participation in the Technical Symposium allowed to promote exchanges on current and emerging issues pertinent to the cybersecurity community, strengthen the CERT network and build new capabilities to tackle cybercrime.
The event was officially opened by Honourable Deepak Balgobin, Minister of Information Technology,Communication & Innovation on Friday 23rd October 2020. Many participants from Africa and Arab region followed the Symposium online and benefitted from the event.
